Berlin West

I decided to start with Brandenburger Tor as almost all tourist guides do. This spot is the starting point of daily tours. The statue on top, which is re-named as Victoria (goddess of victory), was retaken from French and has been put there. The woman there (originally Irene;goddess of peace) is looking to the platz Parisen,Paris place ,which means Germany`s victory to French :)Such a sense of humor:)


#Brandenburger Tor nerdeyse butun turistik turlarin basladigi yer. Tepedeki heykel Irene,baris tanricasi.Daha once Almanya da imis,Fransizlar alip goturmus,sonra Almanlar tekrar onu alip getirmisler (ne hirs ama),ve sonra tepeye koymuslar, baktigi meydanin adini da Paris Meydani koymuslar. Kadinin adini da Victoria yapmislar(zafer tanricasi:))Almanya nin Fransaya olan ustunlugunu gosteriyormus gooya,bakin nasil da aldik heykeli geri diye:)

Jewish Memorial cost 27 million Euros,for the memory of Jewish People who has been murdered.Some people saw the money could have better been spent somewhere else,but now being very big and in the heart of the city center everybody can see it. Different blocks represents all different people who has been murdered.


#Yahudi anitlari sehirde mutlaka gorebileceginiz bir yerde bulunuyor. Harcanan 27 milyon euro bazilarini canini siksa da yapilanlari hic bir seyin telafi edemeyecegini dusunuyorlarmis.
Zaten boylesine tarihimizle yuzlesiyoruz hikayesiyle milyonlari turist olarak ceken baska bir ulke de tanimiyorum.

Berlin Wall used to literally separate the city into two. This is really ironic since one of the most developed country,Germany, lived with a wall in the city till 1990.IT was basically a wall between US navy and the Soviet army.The speech Ich_bin_ein_Berliner (from John F. You will see that US pokes into many things in the world:) What was the idea to construct it,who could pass to the other side, how it is collapsed you can read from internet.


#Dunya nin en gelismis ulkelerinden Almanya nin 1990 a kadar sehrin ortasinda bir duvarla yasamis olmasi,insani dusunduruyor. Bu duvar 2. dunya savasindan sonra aslinda Amerikan ve Sovyet ordulari arasindaki duvardan baska bir sey degildi.Amerikan baskani John F. Kennedy nin konusmasi ve diger bilgiler neden duvarin yapildigini anlamak icin dinlemeye ve okumaya deger.


#Berlini ziyaret etmek bir Avrupa turundan ziyade yillarca Tarih derslerinde anlamadan ezberleyip unuttugumuz 1. ve 2. dunya savasi zamanlarini Almanya, Sovyetler ve Amerika tarafindan anlayip, Amerika nin dunya uzerindeki etkisinin gelisimini farketmek acisindan cok onemli diye dusunuyorum.

#Berlin in iki yakasi bulunmasina ragmen butun turlarin Bati tarafinda yapilmasi,Dogu blogunun zamaninda neredeyse tamamen yikilmis olmasindan olsa gerek diye dusunuyorum.Yine de ikinci gun Dogu Berlin de gorduklerimiz fotograf makinelerimizin hafizalarini bir kac saat icinde doldurmamiza yetti de artti bile.
